About Me

Elena Yeatts-Lonske is a sophomore from Rockville, MD studying English at the University of Maryland. Her interests include creative writing, singing and songwriting, and acting, as well as visual arts such as collaging and interior design. As part of her university experience, she hopes to write and direct a short film and get involved at the College Park radio station. She looks forward to taking advantage of the opportunities as a College Part Arts Scholar to meet guest artists and learn about how they were able to transform their love of art into a career. She loves to teach and the writing process so she also is excited at the prospect of perhaps leading a short story creative writing workshop for her Capstone project.
